Stepping out of the structured work of The Paradox Ensemble, Nick Walters hooks up once again with 22a to create a mini-album of spiritual avant garde jazz. Active Imagination relies on the active imaginations of the assembled musicians that Walters got together for a day of improvisation and experimentation. Jeff Guntren, Rebecca Nash and Ed Cawthorne all come along for the ride.
